Abdullah Nahid Niger

Abdullah Nahid Niger is a businessperson and politician in Bangladesh. Born into a politically influential family near Gaibandha district's Sundarganj in Master Para 6, No Sorbananda Union, in 1981, she has a rich background in both business and public service. Nahid Niger graduated with a B.Sc in Mathematics, specializing in Computer Programming, from Waterloo, Canada, and further pursued an M.Sc in Economics & Finance in the UK. She has held significant positions in both politics and business. Nahid Niger served as a parliament member for Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) and was a former member of the Bangladesh Awami League, Sundarganj, Gaibandha. Additionally, she served as the Science and Technology Affairs Secretary of the Proposed Committee, Bangladesh Awami League, Sundarganj Upazila Branch, Gaibandha. Nahid Niger has received numerous accolades for her contributions to various sectors. Notably, she was personally awarded the National Export Trophy Gold in 2010 by the Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She has also been recognized internationally, receiving the World Maritime Day Award in 2008 in Geneva for her special contributions to the naval sector. Furthermore, she has been honoured with the Century International Quality Award in 2008 by Business Initiative Directions (BID) for her commitment to quality and customer satisfaction in shipbuilding. Nahid Niger's achievements also include receiving the AB Bank Small & Medium Entrepreneurs (SME) Crest in 2008.
